About the Program
The Adopt a County Road program gives residents, families, businesses, and civic groups the opportunity to take pride in their community by volunteering to pick up litter along a designated stretch of county road. Participants adopt a minimum two-mile segment and commit to cleaning it at least twice per year.
In recognition of their contribution, a sign bearing the volunteer's name is posted at their adopted road segment. This program is coordinated through Newaygo County and supported by Norwich Township.
How It Works
Choose a two-mile or longer segment of county road you would like to adopt.
Complete and submit the application form (available below).
Receive safety vests, trash bags, and program guidelines from the county.
Clean-up dates are scheduled two times a year by the Road Commission.
